Avocados 🥑
Hass and Fuerte variety
The Hass avocado is a variety of avocado with
a bumpy skin of dark green color. At the beginning it was
cultivated and commercialized by the courier company of Southern California in the United States and by the horticulturist Rudolph Hass
who gave it its name.
The Fuerte avocado
is pear-shaped and has a dark green, delicate and smooth skin.
Its pulp is green and creamy.
Therefore, below we will explain everything you need to know about the avocado, its conservation and availability.
Mango 🥭
KENT variety
The mango is egg-shaped and its basic color is green with a red surface on the parts most exposed to the sun.
As it ripens, it turns orange-yellow while keeping its red blush. Its pulp is intense yellow to orange, yellow when ripe.
There are several varieties of mangoes, the most famous for export are the Kent, Keitt and Amelie varieties which are very similar.
The Kent mango differs from its colleagues because it has a flesh without fiber,
juicy and very sweet. Its stone is small and the weight is between 450 and 560 grams. The flesh of the Keitt mango is firm, without fibers and has a sweet taste. This mango has a small to medium sized pit.
Amelie mango is deliciously sweet. Its very tender, fiber-free flesh makes it very popular.
coconut 🥥
from Ivory Coast
The coconuts of Ivory Coast have a higher gustative value than all its competitors because of two essential factors:
The natural plantation and the lower rainfall than in other countries.
The fruit measures between 10 and 40 cm long and between 10 and 16 cm wide. It weighs up to 1.5 kg. It is smooth and light green or orange in color when it is not ripe then turning brown
and covered with a thick layer of brown woody fibers surrounding the nut when ripe. The nut is composed of a solid shell more or less spherical oval which protects a whitish edible kernel,
with a dense milky white flesh , the pulp, very crunchy, and a sweet liquid, the coconut water.
Rich in fatty acids, the coconut is a caloric fruit, but concentrated in vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
Pineapple 🍍
Sugar loaf variety
An exotic fruit, pineapple has long been considered a rare and precious commodity.
The Sugarloaf pineapple, also known as the "bottle pineapple", is definitely our favorite pineapple 🤩 (just ahead of the Victoria pineapple... though...)! Regardless of its ranking, the Sugarloaf is worth a look and is quite different from other pineapple varieties.
Few leaves and more elongated, its pulp is almost white and makes it the sweetest pineapple of the market. You will guess notes of vanilla or coconut from the first bite, and will love to eat the heart of this variety, often put aside usually.
Indeed, the Sugarloaf is fiber-free: an advantage for the gourmands who will be able to devour everything in the fruit (after a proper peeling of course)!
Lemon
Yellow lemon variety
The lemon (or yellow lemon) is a citrus fruit of the lemon tree (Citrus limon).
It exists in two forms: the sweet lemon, a decorative fruit of cultivars with
little or no acidic juice, nevertheless classified as Citrus limon (L.) Burm.
f. (Tanaka's classification); and the acidic lemon, the most common nowadays.
This ripe fruit has a rind that turns from soft green to bright yellow when cold.
Its flesh is juicy, the yellow lemon is rich in vitamin C. It is rarely eaten raw,
but is most often used pressed or for its zest as a condiment. Inseparable from all
the cuisines of the world.
Lemon
Lime variety
The lime is a citrus fruit that has an oval shape and is green when ripe.
It is a small round lemon with a smooth and thin skin, its tender flesh gives an abundant juice.
It is appreciated for its very pronounced acid taste.
The Tahitian lime is distinguished by its juicy and deliciously scented pulp.
The particularity of the Tahitian lime lies in its "multipurpose" character
